Choco – Exhale Dance Instructor

Choco developed a great connection with Latin music while growing up in Mexico City and has over 20 years of salsa experience since high school. After graduating, he dedicated more time to improve his moves by joining classes from people around the world and other social dancers in the streets and dance clubs of the city. When Choco moved to Vancouver in 1996, he was introduced to the many styles of Salsa, from LA, Cuban, Colombian to Mambo ON2 and also Bachata, Cha-Cha-Cha and Merengue. Inspired by the variety of styles in Vancouver, Choco began combining all he learned to create his own unique flavor of dancing with the goal of having fun and sharing his knowledge about music and dance. By the late 1990s, Choco was asked to assist with several dance schools around the city and perform with dance teams locally and across the United States. Then Choco founded his own dance company SalsaSoul, which has been successfully in business for almost 8 years. Now he dances socially for fun and teaches at Exhale Studio only. Sharing his great technique has given him a well known name in town.
