Kari – Exhale Yoga Instructor

Kari’s yoga journey began when exercise for the sake of exercise became boring. Her very first class, stiff and confused though she was, tuned Kari into the realm of physical and mental inquiry that she had been seeking. Doing yoga intrigued Kari because it integrated all levels of her being. Her body, mind and life wanted this. Kari took her first yoga teacher training course shortly thereafter with Shakti Mhi; her job and joy ever since has been sourcing the teachings that speak to her whole being, and integrating that as a way of life. Kari has studied with many amazing yoga teachers, learning the healing arts of various approaches to hatha yoga;  passive yoga, power yoga, kundalini yoga, restorative yoga, yin yoga and anatomy for yoga. Whenever her practice becomes overly physical, Kari turns to the philosophy and history of yoga to bring her back to her reason for practicing and teaching yoga: clarity and peacefulness.

Kari’s Vinyasa Class

This yoga class will teach you how to stretch your body and your mind. You will begin with a short meditation, which will help you relax your brain and maintain that meditative awareness throughout the asana portion of class. You will learn some mechanics of movement, which will help you move more freely and free up tension patterns in your body. This yoga class emphasizes continually tuning in to your current, changing state of being so you don’t work out on auto-pilot. This will teach you how to listen to your higher consciousness. You’ll learn how to do your yoga, for you, for your life, and for the rest of your life. Come on. Let’s get our stretch on!
