Thara – Exhale Yoga Instructor
Thara has 10 years of yoga training, with several brilliant teachers to whom she is forever grateful. She began teaching traditional hatha yoga, moved towards Vinyasa yoga, and has incorporated a joyful, rooted play into her classes. Thara’s work with ecological yoga stems from her master’s thesis, in which she focused on the dance between breath and body, and how the physical practice is a venue for connection to the earth and its elements. Her years of dance as a youth and work with various injuries have helped Thara to lead challenging, playful and careful classes. She teaches yoga with a spark of intensity aligned with joyous creativity. Thara hopes to continue to learn, from students and from inspirational international teachers. She includes play, flow and laughter into her serious career, and can always be won over by good wine, nourishing food and honest interactions.Thara is also a Naturopathic Physician, focuses on improving diet, relieving pain & glandular dysfunction, and blending the benefits of the yoga practice into her medical practice. Thara’s Yoga Lab Class
Yoga Lab is a journey to deepen your practice. An energetic class designed for beginners & experienced yogis alike, it will leave you stronger, clearer, relaxed and refreshed. At the beginning of each class, we practice flowing vinyasa to loosen the mind & muscles while building strength. We take a portion of the class to workshop a variety of postures, from basic standing poses to handstands, arm balances and backbends. Thara teaches her classes focussed on anatomy and alignment, and blends the wisdom of yoga philosophy into a healthy movement based practice. Thara’s Hatha Flow Yoga Class
Hatha flow yoga is perfect for yogis and non-yogis of all ages, bodies and experience. Thara helps her students bring lightness to intense yoga postures and cultivate strength in fundamental postures. Her yoga classes are creative, challenging and accommodating. She offers students the opportunity to create and maintain positive patterns in their minds, bodies and spirits.
