Alex is a certified Yoga Alliance member. She received her training through Prana Yoga College under the guidance of Shakti Mhi. Alex has been a trained dancer all her life, specializing in classical ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance. She has had the opportunity to travel and perform abroad and showcase her talents on TV and film. But ultimately, it was the injuries from her dance career that led her to yoga. From personal experience, Alex has a strong passion for the ability to heal one’s ailments through the power of yoga.
Having had nagging injuries and illnesses in her life, Alex
emphasizes a safe and fluid movement in yoga, encouraging her students to
connect, listen and understand their bodies. If we take the time to listen
to our bodies, we can tap into its wisdom and knowledge. When we give our
bodies the opportunity to heal, to distance ourselves from physical and
mental stress, our quality of life improves and we, as individuals, will
flourish.
Come and take time to unwind after your
long work week. Prepare yourself to start the week ahead fresh. With emphasis
on breath work, core stability, and respect for one's body, Alex will safely
guide you through a uniquely designed flow yoga that will leave your body
and mind feeling rejuvenated and restored.
