YOGA

Hatha Yoga: A gentle yoga with emphasis on posture alignment and coordination of breath and movement. This practice enhances muscle tone, flexibility, balance, coordination, concentration, detoxifies the vital organs, and a peaceful mind. You will leave feeling deeply relaxed, refreshed and renewed. The level of the class will depend on the teacher and the needs of the students. You can always make classes easier or more challenging for yourself by following the teachers' cues for variations and modifications of the poses. Please, wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bare feet.

Power Yoga: This is an energetic, cardiovascular style of yoga. It is not intended for beginners. You must be familiar with the postures, as it involves performing challenging sequences of poses. Power yoga helps build strength, flexibility, stamina and calms the mind. The practice produces internal heat and sweat that detoxifies, cleansing the muscles and organs. Please, wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bare feet.

Smart Yoga: Combining detailed alignment and powerful, flowing movements, SmartYoga classes are designed to provide students with an understanding of 'how' and 'why' yoga postures work to take their practice from potentially dangerous contortion to a true sense of space, lightness and integrated strength.

Yin Yoga: Long, deep stretching helps cultivate a meditative mind. This deep practice allows space for emotional clearing and deep physical openings, particularly through the hips, pelvis, and spine. Yin yoga targets tendons, ligaments and fascia within the body. Each posture is held for long periods of time (3-5 mins) to encourage the slow and safe opening of connective tissues. Focus is on breath, softness, and surrender, allowing for a deep exploration of the body. You will leave feeling deeply relaxed and peaceful. This is quite challenging practice due to the length of time postures are held, but is open to all levels and is the perfect complement to more yang active styles, such as Power Yoga or Ashtanga. During these 45-minute sessions, you will experience deeper personal awareness and access your vast inner resources for balance, productivity, health, prosperity, and connection. Gillian offers guidance, techniques, and a spirited, supportive approach to thriving within your inner universe - so you ultimately radiate powerfully into the world around you. You will experience your mind, your heart, your body, and even your smile in a whole new way – taking positive, creative energy into your day, your work, and all your relationships. Especially the one with yourself. Come learn how authenticity and inner connection are practical and even sexy!

Prenatal: We have created a comfortable and supportive atmosphere to prepare for birth through breathing exercises and yoga. The class is tailored to the changing needs of the expectant mother. Each woman is guided back to her most comfortable posture, providing ultimate care and rejuvenation for both mother and baby. The class will help prepare the pelvic muscles, hips and legs for childbirth. The exercises will help bring awareness to breath, which will defiantly help in labor. Also, it will be a great place to connect with other expecting mothers. Please, wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bare feet.

PILATES

Pilates Mat: This class is a series of floor exercises that helps the development of core strength, proper breathing and close attention to correct form. Participants will build upon a foundation of proper technique. Pilates can dramatically alter your body’s appearance and performance, by increasing strength, flexibility, elongating and strengthening the muscles. Pilates will improve your posture, core strength, and body awareness. You will leave feeling energized and revitalized. Please, wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bare feet.

DANCE

Jazz: Class includes warm-up exercises, stretches, across the floor technique, and choreography expressing emotion through dance. Class will involve a variety of music. Please, wear comfortable clothes you can move in, proper jazz shoes or bare feet.

Street Jazz: This class is a fusion of Jazz and Hip Hop. Please, wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and sneakers.

Hip Hop: Learn a funky style of dance, filled with the latest popular dance steps and music. It is a fun, positive, high energy outlet. It’s all about finding your inner confidence and giving your own personal flavour to it with attitude. It combines Hop-Hop and cardio to get you into the shape you want while have fun and learning some of the freshest moves that you can actually use. Improve your moves for social events and increase your confidence. Wear loose comfortable clothes and clean sneakers.

Video Dance: Music video and pop culture inspired, class includes warm up, stretching and choreography routine. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and clean sneakers.

Burlesque Beauties Dance Class: For the sassy and sensual side of every woman! This dance class is designed to create a safe and loving atmosphere for women to learn how to come into their own confident way of movement! You will sweat, laugh, have fun, and most importantly know your own value in being a beautiful and confident woman! You will be lead (take out-you) through a warm up, stretch, across the floor movement, then into a fun dance routine. You will leave this class with a glow on your face, fun times, confidence within yourself and some sexy/sensual moves you can take with you to a girls night out on the town or even at home for yourself or maybe… others:) Please come in either bare feet, or clean rubber-heeled character shoes, and clothes you can move in. "Live your life like a Burlesque Beauty" Be Classy Be Confident Be Yourself!

Belly Dance: Hip shaking and swaying to Arabic beats. This class will have you smiling, feeling sexy and empowered. Great way to get your heart pumping, strengthen your core and tone your thighs at the same time. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, dance shoes or bare feet.

Salsa: You do not need a partner. Don’t be shy, come meet new people and dance in a comfortable environment and learn sexy latino moves that you can take to the clubs. Wear clothes you can move in.

Cardio Bootcamp: Get your body in the best shape ever! Class includes warm-up, strength and cardio exercises and stretches. Wear workout gear, a towel (because you’re going to sweat), running shoes, and water.

LEVELS

Open: All classes on schedule are open level, unless noted Introduction, Intermediate or Advanced. Open means all levels are welcome

Introduction: New to the practice. Will learn the basics and broken down in more details for students.

Intermediate: Already have some experience, and ready to take it to the next level.

Advanced: Experienced and ready for a challenge.
