The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.”
In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. We add the word Flow, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a strong style of movement designed to strengthen the body and increase flexibility and stamina. This practice produces internal heat and sweat that detoxifies, cleansing the muscles and organs. At the same time this type of practice helps calm the mind.
