

Rick – Yoga
Hatha Yoga Drop-in Classes on Wed 12pm & 5:30pm, Fri 10am & Sat 9am & 10:30am
My training began at Prana Yoga College and continues through
continuous study and practice. I am also a counselling psychologist, a Phoenix
Rising Yoga Therapist, and a musician. In my classes, I strive to respect
and honour the rich traditions of yoga. While we concentrate on the physical
practice of Hatha yoga and enjoy the health and vitality it creates, yoga
can help us to loosen the grip of ego in order to become more awake and compassionate.
I encourage present-centredness through graceful vinyasas (flows) as well
as longer holdings of postures. As much as possible I include essential pranayam
(breathing) techniques to energize and rebalance
It is about becoming present to all that life presents us
with. Yoga is about creating balance in our bodies and minds, and creating harmony
in our world.
