Yoga is about creating balance in our bodies
and minds, and creating harmony in our world. I strive to respect
and honor the rich traditions of yoga in my classes. While we concentrate
on the physical practice of hatha yoga and enjoy the health and
vitality it creates, it is good to remember that the highest aim
of yoga is radical self-transformation - to loosen the grip of ego
in order to become more awake and compassionate. I encourage present-centredness
through graceful vinyasas (flows), essential pranayam (breathing)techniques,
and meditations aimed to consciously elevate prana (life force/energy).
My classes range from deeply meditative yin to more energizing and
challenging vinyasas. Above all yoga is about peace and joy. OM
